Viewing the photographs from top to bottom: In the upper left is the Globe Theatre in London. The Globe was originally built by William Shakespeare. The next photo is of a monument in Edinburgh, Scotland to the famous writer, Sir Walter Scott who among other works wrote "Rob Roy." Liz highlights the next photo sitting on a natural geological formation in Northern Ireland known as the Giant's Boot. No trip to London would be complete without a visit to Buckingham Palace and the famous changing of the guard. Notice the umbrellas. It was wet throughout most of our trip, but we were well prepared with excellent wet weather gear from Marmot. With a strong wind blowing in her face, Liz poses before the River Thames. On both sides of the river are walkways where you can view history and shop as you stroll.
Starting on the bottom left is the British Museum in London is one of the most elegant and grand in the world. Next is a scene from Edinburgh Scotland which is the Thomson ancestral home. My great grandfather left there to come to New York just prior to the Civil War. A kind tourist took this shot of Liz and I prior to us starting our trek to that far off promontory behind us on the Giant's Causeway. A fifty mile per hour gale kept Liz bundled for this shot from the ruins of Dunluce Castle in Northern Ireland. Finally, we see Liz walking across the Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge with a sheer drop below it.
